So for the people that dont know (mostly everyone), I sold the Riviera on Wednesday to Mr. Jose Antonio Lopez. Anyone who knows me knows that I loved that car more than anything and it was extremely painful for me to get rid of it. But, after reviewing my current situation over and over again (with guidance from family and friends), I decided that it would not be smart for me to keep the Buick. Although I loved the car, I simply didnt have the money to fix it and I needed something more reliable. BUT I will be getting another one eventual when I can afford a classic car. So, after selling the car for $1900 (my highest offer with it not running), I used about $200 to buy my Mom a new dryer. With my remaining $1700, I started an insane car search. I looked at everything from Mustangs to Triumph Spitfires, Lincoln Mark VIIIs to Jeep Cherokees ..... and somehow along the way, I found an ad for a Camaro. Being a Ford guy and being strongly biased towards Mustangs, I was rather skeptical when I clicked on the picture-less ad. There wasnt a lot of info on it, but I hit the guy up and got some pictures and videos of it. After once again asking some friends and family what they thought, I ended up going to Hesperia with my Mom and Spencer this evening to look at the car. The guy had me step on it in the parking lot and I fell in love with it. So heres my new car everyone ! Car number 4 haha. The pictures do it absolutely no justice at all what so ever, but its all I have until morning time. Anyway, its a 1997 Camaro Z/28 with 6-Speed stick shift. It has 136,000 original miles and is all stock except for a K&N Airfilter and a Catback true-duel exhaust system. Its been taken care of excellently and the thing runs like a bat outta hell. The interior is near perfect, paint is good, engine is amazing, everything works, tires are good ... just everything about it is amazing. Of course, since its 15 years old, its not perfect. One of the mounts for the Tranny or Driveshaft is loose so when you step on it, it vibrates a little bit, it needs a tune up, it could use some new tires in a few thousand miles, it doesnt have a Radio, A/C, the hood is missing its prop bar and the trunks lifters are done so you have to hold up the deck lid. Aside from that, the car is absolutely amazing (yes, even for a Chevy haha). I know Ill probably get a lot of crap from certain people because I bought a Chevy, but honestly, I do love the car and Im excited to finally have something thats stick shift. More pictures and maybe some videos to come !
