So here we are. It seems that there is far from a consensus on many issues dealing with race here in America. So does racism exist? What is racism? These are certainly prime topics right now. Hopefully we will understand that regardless of what we believe personally, all of us have to admit that these questions are nowhere near resolved in a way that we as a nation can say we are happy or are in agreement with. For me I see that racism exists, and there has never been a time in my life where it did not exist. I was raised in a racist household, and saw it up close, and I can say with certainty that is still very much among us today. For me racism is the use of race as an excuse to oppress an individual and/or the group that they are identified with. One of the things that I have seen first hand in the actions of ignorant people, and the harm that they can do. It is disgusting to me.
