So here we are at Petco on Saturday. The rain was a blessing for the people of Wichita Falls but a nightmare for those of us loading and unloading dogs, cats, tables, chairs, and banners. But Cindy, Elizabeth and I got to spend some very quality time with Ryan, Regina, and Octavia, as well as lots of other wonderful animals from different rescues and shelters. I think there were seven participants, but the crowd wasnt a crowd at all except for the participants. The rain was heavy and few people braved the weather to even come to the store. However, I think we had the best behaved group there--except, maybe, for Ryan who insisted on talking to anyone who would listen. But, as usual, we got to see a lot of old friends and talk to lots of people who share our passion of finding homes for all of Gods creatures. We were able to adopt out Regina. I drove her to her new home in Graham this afternoon, and the people were so excited to have her. I know shes being very spoiled as we speak! Thanks to Cindy and Elizabeth who made my life so much easier yesterday by helping with setup and takedown, walking the dogs, running errands for water or food, or just smiling at me when I thought I couldnt stand on my feet any more. One more out, lots to go!!!!
