So, here we go. Apparently there is a film about my favorite story in the Bible. A lot to be excited about, and a lot to be nervous about. Excited because if they get it right, it could be amazing, and again, Ive always been fascinated by this story. Nervous, because, well, its Hollywood, and I dont know how they are going to spin this (If they spin it at all). I feel like artistic license is a must because its short story despite it being 40 days. I wrote a short film once that I scrapped because I honestly felt unworthy of it. There were major issues because its a short story in scripture. There were issues because I found myself assuming the mindset of Jesus. That proved to be impossible. So, from a believer standpoint, this is a difficult film. Hard to find extra words for Jesus when you yourself are a sinful man. I actually had way more in common with the Devil. So, yeah, to me its a huge undertaking. Am I upset that Jesus is being depicted by a red-head Scottish man? Not really? He looks pretty legit in the photo. I dont know. As I said, excited about the great possibilities, and nervous for the other possibilities. What are your thoughts?
