So, highway 29 is closed at canoe creek. South bond Traffic is being directed onto Byrneville road and north bond traffic onto Cox road with no detour markers. I live here and had to exercise extreme caution traveling these roads at night. Helped two drivers get out of ditches and gave one individual directions to highway 4. Saw several others in ditches, being helped by other motorist. What I would like to know is who was the brilliant individual who made this decision.. How much trouble would it had been to clear this 1/2 mile stretch of road to avoid all the confusion. This is the main connector from I-65 to Pensacola. Seems like to me a little salt and or sand could have eliminated a lot of head ache for a lot of people.
