So i had a thought (omg right?).... many of us are told as children that if we suffer from motion sickness that we should look directly forward to alleviate the need to throw up when in a moving vehicle, i wonder, how many looked to the side to test the theory, ...why would you? if there is the potential of feeling worse then why even test it? ..... i often wonder why many people do not test the information they are given when it can be tested within moments. I believe that we do not mature , we do not become independent but rather the parent figure is replaced by the highest point of authority in terms of perceived knowledge .... if you were a dependent child, even if you were not afforded the attention you sought , you will remain so, there is no transition whereby you develop a spontaneous understanding and independence . Something as simple as being told someone earns more than you, my first instinct would be to check, but it seems the majority of people will believe the perceived highest level of authority , which would mean they do not value their own observations. I would conclude it takes a certain level of arrogance to be able to see through the illusions drawn all around us. I often think humans are arrogant, i was wrong,... the leaders of humanity are arrogant, the follows are ignorant, but it is the actions of the leaders that are the defining actions of humanity...the followers all are lumped together as a mere re-enforcing entity enabling their masters
