There would certainly be anti-trust issues raised by that because the two companies represent 90% of all comics publishing. BUT, the hypothetical Disney execs would argue, the industry is dying and digital publishing, web comics and such, are the true competitors, and the acquisition of DC would have no effect on those forms of distribution. Would we want to live in a world with DC and Marvel both owned by Disney?
