So just witnessed a near head-on collision between Fenwick and Killie... The first car driver obviously thought he/she was on a duel carriageway and moved over to approach one of the roundabouts on the right hand (oncoming) lane while I watched with horror from behind as a car swung round - in the correct lane - to meet them head on. One wild swerve later and collision avoided, thank god, but the second driver - presumably in a state of shock - just stopped dead in the middle of their lane just a meter off the roundabout. The first car then drives right round the roundabout and stops behind them - now totally blocking the exit. Im now past, trying not to be distracted from my own driving but half watching in the mirror and hoping no-one gets hurt. No-ones moved by the time Im out of sight. Christ only knows how some folk pass their tests. So on I go to tesco, (where I am regularly narrowly, screechingly missed by octogenarians reversing out of the disabled spot), shop, leave and some wee old lady tries to give me a pound for my trolley on the way out. I tell her theyre free, and that shes hit the jackpot cos its a rare, wobbly-wheel free one. Oh, she says as a wee joke, you havent seen my driving. ... Or have I ...? Eh, drive safe!
