So last Friday , if you recall it rained and the weather was rather chilly , I felt like taking pepper soup so I called a friend of mine so we could go get some at our favorite spot in lekki. A bowl of whole cat fish point and kill with at least 8 reasonable chunks of boiled yam can serve 3 people conveniently at the cost of 2,200 bucks ; so off I went to lekki excitedly after a hard days work. On my way to her , she changed plans because she wanted us to try out a new place in the same vicinity .... Ok cool I said from my end of the phone , fast forward; plans changed again she had to make a quick stop elsewhere and by that time I had driven past our favorite spot so I rang her up and asked her for directions to the new place, I figured its just catfish now.... I found the place and asked them to make me a takeout pack , they told me it cost 2,500 bucks err ok, 300bucks extra , well not much , ok lets have it, then I asked if they put some yam , the waiter nodded in the affirmative , moving along I grabbed a seat to wait patiently when I heard my name , oh it was my friends sister , she said hey come and join us, we have been expecting you.... I said yeah but plans changed Ive ordered to take mine home, we chatted for about 9 mins and the waiter shoes up with my order !! Oh wow ! That was faaaast , I said ; quite surprised cos, it takes about 20-25 mins at the other spot, i paid , said my goodbyes and dashed home eager to devour my hot spicy catfish pepper soup 🙌🙌 . To my utmost dismay😔😔😔 , I opened the foil takeaway pack to see 2 pieces of fish and 6 maggi cube sized yam pieces and 3 cooking spoon size of soup 😳😳😳😳😳 huh???? I finished scooping the soup before the fish , I was weak!! I cant believe I just paid 2,500 for this , oh lest I forget i was given a small piece of bread too! 2,500!!!! No way , theres no way Im going there again and it wasnt that great , it was just there , so much for my pepper soup escapade at the Rip off joint !!!!! 😉😉😉 Nonsense Have you had any similar experience??
