So last night I was watching The Grand Budapest Hotel (an impeccably brilliant film) and this scene came-up with the two main characters in a train cart. As soon as the first shot appeared I had to pause the film because it felt like I was looking at a photograph. This is the first time Ive ever paused a film to admire its lighting. What a fantastically well-made movie. If you havent seen it I couldnt recommend it more, its one of those films that reaffirms that there are some brilliantly original and creative directors in this world.
