So let me get this straight, I owe a balance of $12k (after $30k in student loans) for this year alone as of right now for my Sons College tuition, fine understood. Cant get a personal loan because I have $68k in back support and cant get a bank account because theres a lien on any account due to this, yet the mother refuses to go take him off child support and rectify this gross amount that isnt owed. How does the drug addict, which I was, that wasnt working owe someone $68k in child support? EXTORTION by any other name is still EXTORTION. What type of person tries to collect from a recovering addict thats doing his best? What type of person will continue to receive child support for a 20 yr. old (in Feb) while the father pays his tuition? Then lies to the Son when he asks her to do the right thing for his college future and you lie and say theres nothing you can do, the court is doing it and its between your father and the court, lie and say you cant remove him from support or agree to a lessor more realistic amount so I can get a loan. Whats wrong with going to the courthouse and say, Remove the oldest because his residence is now with his father and his father is paying his tuition. Furthermore, he never really owed that amount and since hes paying support for our youngest and paying our eldest sons tuition of $12k so lets relieve the balance and move forward, thats fair. My Son is under the impression that I can owe the school and he can repay them when he graduates, he doesnt understand that I must pay the balance in 90 days. Now, I make $9.75 an hour mind you. But Im not a good parent, I beg to differ!
