This summer, children will focus on human diversity, exploration, and world religions through our World Travelers Program. Each Sunday a visitor will present on a country/region where they’ve traveled or lived. Visitors will share souvenirs, photos/videos, and will talk about the religions practiced in that country. The children will also engage in crafts, dances, and other activities to learn more about other countries and world religions. Children will be given a “passport” which can be stamped for each presentation they attend. The program is designed to 1) cultivate respect for human diversity and difference, 2) encourage exploration and wonder, 3) learn about world religions, and 4)affirm the seven UU Principles, linking stories of travel and world religions to the seven principles.
