So lets see: 1. Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, - TopicsExpress

So lets see: 1. Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, was a major fingure in the eugenics movement of the early to mid-twentieth century. (Eugenics - the study of or belief in the possibility of improving the qualities of the human species or a human population, especially by such means as discouraging reproduction by persons having genetic defects or presumed to have inheritable undesirable traits (negative eugenics) or encouraging reproduction by persons presumed to have inheritable desirable traits (positive eugenics)) 2. The Rockefeller Foundation provided grants to eugenics programs that involved luminaries such as Doctor Josef Mengele. Most people know how Mengele and his fellow planners in Germany applied their version of eugenics. 3. Woodrow Wilson had a private screening of The Birth of a Nation at the White House. As you may know, it is considered both one of the greatest silent films as well as one of the most racist in American history. His review of it included the statement, ... my only regret is that it is all so terribly true. 4. Nancy Pelosi proudly accepted the Margaret Sanger award recently from Planned Parenthood. So what do these seemingly unconnected people and groups - Margaret Sanger, Rockefeller Foundation, Woodrow Wilson and Nancy Pelosi - have in common? The were or are proud progressives. They all have broader concerns, but does their common interest in deciding who is inferior or superior really represent progress? pbs.org/wnet/jimcrow/stories_events_birth.html
