So lets talk about defamation of character lawsuits. If you are suing to clear your name, you are claiming that someone has maliciously lied about you in such a way that it hurt your reputation. A tough thing to prove in court, Im sure. But how does a jury of 12 clear your name? It doesnt. The only way to clear your name is for the defendant to confess publicly or for the community to reject the lies. You dont go to the courts to clear your name... you go to the courts to (hopefully) get 12 people and a judge to say we agree with you and then you want them to force the defendant to pay a monetized valuation of your injury. Take it one step further. If in the process of clearing your name, you take to court the widow of the person who defamed you... well now you are trading a false narrative for a valid one. Congratulations... you now have 12 people plus 1 judge on your side, and some cash. Now youve defamed yourself and smeared the mud on your own character. One final thought, and I realize Im being a bit petty... but there comes a time when a man should just accept that the vestige of a hairline really needs to go. Just shave it off, dude.
