CITY OF TONAWANDA Teen injured inpit bull attack An 18-year-old City of Tonawanda man suffered severe injuries to his hand after he was attacked by a pit bull while walking down Main Street about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to City of Tonawanda Police Capt. Fredric Foels, this is not the first time police have had trouble with this particular dog. Though the dog has had all its shots, it is still being placed under quarantine for 10 days inside the owner’s home. The victim was taken to ECMC where he received 28 stitches. A specialist is being called in to further examine the victim’s injuries and he may require surgery. Police say that this particular dog has been known to be violent and has injured people in the past. They also say they have had little cooperation from the owner on this matter during previous incidents.
