So many dogs get scared of the storms and jump fences, dig - TopicsExpress

So many dogs get scared of the storms and jump fences, dig underneath fences etc trying to escape the lightning, thunder and rain. For a scared dog, all they want to do is hide. After storms, the Animal Compliance Officers pick up many roaming and scared dogs. Please have I.D. on your dog so we can get it back home to you. We do not want to put it in the shelter if we dont have to, but if someone has found it and calls us, we have no other options if you have not put an I.D. tag on your pet with your current contact info. If you have I.D. on it, ACOs will do everything in their power to get your pet back home to you. A simple $5 identification tag can save you a lot of $$$$$ if you have to bail it out of a shelter. If you are missing your pet, post it here and/or other local lost and found public forums and make sure you post a current contact telephone number with it and keep checking at your local shelter. :-)
