So much can be learned from waking up in different hotels all the time... For example, the last couple of days I woke up at a 5 star resort in Boca Raton overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, with breakfast options that began at $20, and comfortable in the knowledge that we had a stonewalling Republican party that was too busy hating a black president to do its, or any, job. Today, I woke up in a Marriot in Sacramento that lives 8.5 inches from a busy expressway and remembered that it was not a dream… the WWF, I mean Fox News, via Big Money now runs both the US Congress and the US Senate and people all over the country who are harmed by their policies and ideologies are celebrating like the good foot soldiers they were meant to be. (The rich of course are also celebrating, but at least makes sense.) All hail the Christian right, women in tight skirts, crony capitalism, cutting assistance to lazy poor people who refuse to work real jobs, spending time and money trying to repeal Obamacare rather than fixing it, protection of gun rights over the protection of children, buckets full of money for the military, marriage protection, and keeping or kicking those damn illegal aliens out of our country!! Let’s see what you’ve got, Republicans. I can get behind the real Republican ideals (smaller government, true capitalism and anti-slavery). Can you?
