So much on my mind tonight. Anybody that knows me, knows how important my future is....Im at a Y in the road that both roads lead to a successful future. Staying true to myself and trusting my instincts has always been second nature to me. Im blessed that way. Overcoming the odds is the thesis of my life....from a drug addicted household with cops raiding my house at 5 years old, to a gang related neighborhood that taught me the basic survival skills that keep you street smart but drag you down while getting good marks in school. Looking back, I treasure West Way. Nobody ever expected me to do shit....failure WAS an option,and that my friend was motivation enough. Motivation enough to make an honest living, and try and provide a better life for my family then that what was laid out for me. Motivation not to be comfortable with the lifestyle my parents were accustom too. My family means the world to me. My son will never know the shitty feeling of wearing the same hand-me-down tux to all 4 of his formal dances. That to me is being successful. I dont have to be rich to be happy, I just have to know I did my best to provide, and be a positive influence in my sons eyes. Im very, very thankful for my friends and family that are by my side through thick & thin. Life is so much easier with you guys here for me. Tonight I rest easy with the weight of SUCCESS on my chest. How I feel tomorrow will dictate my future. Im putting this in Gods hands...and I trust he will help me make the correct decision.
