So my 10 month old started coughing over the weekend. 😳 - TopicsExpress

So my 10 month old started coughing over the weekend. 😳 Frequently. It sounded as if he was trying to cough something up, like a hacking sound, as if he had a scratchy throat or hed picked something off the ground and put it in his mouth. I wasnt sure what was going on to be honest. He had a sniffly nose also (most likely from the sudden chill and the crazy wind over the weekend).❄️❄️!!! I ended up taking him in to the salt rooms on Monday morning for a session, following an unsettled night not being able to feed due to, maybe a blocked nose? He was very congested in the nose. He was grizzly and irritable yesterday and there was plenty of snot running out of his nose after our morning salt session. It wasnt until this morning that I thought oh he didnt cough as much last night and didnt seem so unsettled while breastfeeding. I took him in for a salt therapy session again this morning because there was still snot! He had a runny nose all day. Its only tonight that hes now tucked up in bed and sound asleep that I am looking back thing, actually hes barely coughed this evening. Im genuinely surprised hes improved that quickly. Ill reevaluate tomorrow and decide if I think he needs a third session but Im pleased to say two sessions and the cough seems to have settled and not turned into anything more. I hope I can report tomorrow night that I didnt need the third salt session but Ill let you know 😊👍 and Im pleased that Im not listening to my baby coughing in the quiet of the night. I know other mums will relate. Sometimes Ill go weeks without using the salt rooms for my family but then sometimes Ill use them everyday for a week if I know my kiddies will benefit from it. I dont enjoy winter colds and tend to be onto it right away as I dont want it to develop into anything nasty! Just thought Id share my own salt therapy story for the week 😘 Have a good evening💛
