So my daughter goes to take her test for a driving permit. She takes with her, her State Picture ID for proof of identity. A couple things about this ID: She needed to provide her birth certificate when she went and got it. She needed to provide her Social Security Card. She needed to provide 2 proofs of residency. The ID is good for 4 years. The ID is only a year old. 3 years left. Like I said above it has her picture along with here birth date. She had to pay for the id. The ID was applied for at, the picture taken at and the ID was issued at a PennDot Center. One last thing from the ID website; PennDOT uses state-of-the-art facial recognition technology when an individual has their photo taken for their driver’s license/identification card. She was denied the opportunity to take her test because the state id was not valid proof of identity?
