So...my lifes been a bit crazy so I havent really had the time to sit down and read. I do, however, apparently have time to turn on netflix and watch anime/all of the Justice League material in the known universe on in the background while I do my real people work. That being said I have really enjoyed some shows that I thought I would pass on. 1. Young Justice - I rave about this show, because it sort of pick and chooses from what I consider to be the best story lines without any waste. There arent filler episodes, which is like 85% of JL and JLU. The story is from the perspective of the sidekicks (Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, etc.) and is actually way more interesting than the regular Justice League. 2. Flashpoint Paradox - I remember reading this comic ages ago, and I have to say I think its easily one of the best comics DC has ever produced, mostly b/c its all about Flash. If you liked the comic then definitely give this a watch. I really liked the way that they made the story come to life based on who they chose for the voices (Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan!!). 3. Fairy Tale - I burned through all of the episodes of this anime that were available on Netflix in a weekend. It is just a really fun, self progressing story with very little filler and a lot of humor. Im currently trying to find the rest of the episodes for this series online. Who wants to get me a Funimation account for my birthday? *wiggles eyebrows* 4. Blue Exorcist - I will admit that I watched this 25 episode anime strictly because of the description: Determined to throw off the curse of being Satans illegitimate son, Rin enters the True Cross Academy to become an exorcist, just like his mentor. How could I not watch something with that as its plot synopsis? It was actually a pretty fun anime that cleverly flirted the line between moments of horror and moments of humor. I also found its use of biblical knowledge, and accuracy of biblical knowledge, quite refreshing. In most anime they just slap an upside-down cross on something and tell you its Satan, whereas this one actually got it right. Im currently watching Sword Art Online, Soul Eater and Attack on Titan. All of which are pretty awesome.
