So my sis Moriah Hardy tagged me for 14 little known facts about myself (at least I think that’s what I’m supposed to do?): 1. I grew up in a town of about 3,500 called Pearblossom in Southern California, but yet we have no pear trees—go figure! 2. I got married 5 days after I turned 19 because I didn’t want to be an 18 year old bride. :) Thanks for being so accommodating Josh Dickinson. 3. I like to drink hot chocolate in the shower…it makes me warm inside while I’m getting warm on the outside. Weird, I know. 4. I don’t get sick when I’m pregnant—although one time I did eat my cereal over the toilet when I was preggo with Sophie because I thought I was going to puke. Never did though. Winning. 5. I HATE flying. It makes me so sick and anxious. I don’t worry that I’m going to crash, I just hate security and the whole process, especially because I’ve mostly done it alone with two kids. I would rather drive, I don’t care how long it takes. I once got shingles because I was so worried about the flight home from Cali. 6. I got straight A’s in HS. Not one B. It’s a little sad that I’m still so proud of this. And I never got below a B in college. Overachiever much? 7. On that note, I’m a perfectionist. It’s all or nothing with me, which can sometimes be a problem. 8. I almost didn’t apply to BYU because I knew I would get in and I didn’t want to leave home. When I did go, I cried for a week straight and had to spend the night with my parents in their hotel room the night before they left. I am a homebody, to say the least, but I’m growing out of this as I get older and have more kids—hmmmm, I wonder why that could be. 9. I’ve never been quiet or shy. Not a day in my life. I used to bear my testimony every fast Sunday growing up and I loved it. 10. When I was nine I was in a horse accident and the top of middle finger and back of my ring finger on my left hand got cut off. I was called numby a lot after that and one of my favorite tricks is to pick my nose with it because it looks like it’s wayyyy up there when it’s really not. :) 11. I LOVE horses and have been riding since before I can remember! Growing up I was horse girl. Horseback riding and working with horses is my favorite thing in the world. 12. I HATED learning how to drive, especially because my dad made us learn how to drive a stick before we could get our licenses. I cried almost every time he took me out. I may or may not have run a car through my parents garage door and garage because I hit the clutch instead of the brake. When everyone came running out to see what on earth had happened, because of course everyone was home, I started crying and claimed that the brakes went out. When my dad backed the car up and tested them, they of course worked fine. 13. I love to dance and be active, but especially to dance. I was on a performing arts track in Junior High where we danced and sang in shows and I loved it! Very few people to get to see me bust my moves—but I LOVE it. At my Junior High graduation my friends Jessica Garcia and Crystal Valdez) and I choreographed a dance to a medley of Spice Girls songs. It’s on video and its epic. 14. My grandmother on my mom’s side Amy Chambers) is from Costa Rica and I think it’s so cool—even though I don’t know that much about where she grew up. I just like to tell people I’m a quarter Costa Rican. It makes me sound exotic. I told Josh and apparently it worked for him, so…. There’s sooo much more where that came from but for now I’ll leave it at that and spare you. ;)
