So my son has Autism spectrum disorder in the Aspergers tendency. He has sensory overload difficulty and socialization struggles. He also has troubles with staying focused on any task. Last year he went to Kidstart and just blossomed. He loved it and made wonderful progress. This year in Kindergarten is proving harder for him. He seems very frustrated and unhappy and it breaks my heart. I am asking anyone who could give me advice for a great resource for getting Killian the help he needs to succeed in school. He has a class with an aide available and I have an autism specialist visiting the classroom once a month. But I really have no idea what to do next. Is there therapies that would help him? A way we can do things differently? I welcome any and all advice anyone could give. I just want my little boy to be happy again...
