So now that Im back where I live in Canada, Im going to take the time to make a thank you post to every single one of my friends (new and old) I saw and met up with during my time in Singapore and San Fransisco, USA. I was inspired by my Indonesian friend, Alvin to make a thank you post. Now it might be TD;LR but its all for a good cause. Im going to make this entirely in English just so everyone on my Facebook friends (From both sides of the world) can read it. During my time over there, I finally had the chance to meet friends I made through FB in real life and made new friends. However, I didnt get to see some friends I made and met last year. Not only did I make friends during the event itself but I also made friends with fellow concert attendees next to me from not only Singaporean but Indonesia and Japan too. (To whoever I accidently hit on the head with one my King Blades during Day 2 and 3 while kecaking, Im really sorry but I couldnt help it being 188 cm and all....) And yes, Im still jet lagged and even went to work the past two days while jet lagged too. Alice Goh, Baka Shin, Darren Lim, Alvis Lim, Derek Tan, Jia Sheng Ryuki, Miharu Komuro, Nao Cao Shi , and Usui Takumi for all remembering me from last year, giving me their coscards while I give them mine, and for saying hi to me as I can only see them once a year. Alvin Werdasmara Helmy and Arthur Robberecht for finding me so we can catch up on good times with a selfie. The next time we hang out, lets all go to Cash Studio for some karaoke! :D Benjamin Poh Ruixing for putting up with me, for introducing me to the SE Asian cosplay community, and for giving me all his coscards to add to my collection to give out to my fellow cosplayer friends in North America. Oh and heres a fact, your Cosplay Memes page is one of the only Singapore based Facebook pages with the most exposure and fans on my side of the world especially in North America Halim Ahmad for always being available to chat with me whenever were in the same time and place Hime Sutomo for taking the time to meet up with me, for collecting coscards to add to my collection from AFA ID for me and for introducing me to new friends that I can give my coscards to. In case anyone was wondering why I got two smaller sized Miku Expo LA t-shirts, thats KeatMing Yong for meeting up with me on Day 0 of AFA to give me Singaporean LL! Community t-shirts to distribute back in North America. And also for taking a cosplay selfie with me since I fail when it comes to taking them. Oh yeah, and hes also one of the overseas members of the North American Love Live! community group that Im a co-founder of and in exchange, I gave him a bunch of Kotobomb stickers and a hard copy of our groups sign too! Leon Neo for inviting me out for ramen, hanging out with me on my last day in SG, introducing me to a new friend, and for showing me the spectacle called MaiMai that will never make its way to my side of the world. Midori Kame for being one of my biggest supporters and a true friend despite the fact that we live on different sides of the world. Thank you for everything youve done for me despite the fact that I had to get up in the middle of Danny Choos Culture Japan event and leave to meet up with my Indonesian friends on their last day in the country. Min Lauren for taking the time to meet up with me since we tend to talk a lot over FB and for introducing me to her friends. Moshi Fujiwara, Rin Dunois, Thomas Ng, and Yeh Fang (My fellow North American Love Liver! bros in San Fransisco) for hanging out with me during my long layovers in your guys city and for breaking me with these three words Kotori Fried Chicken Oh yeah, and if it wasnt for Moshi, I wouldnt have Kotobombed the airport, the AFA line-up to buy tickets, and the Doraemon Christmas Tree Raymond Yee for meeting up with me and passing me over his #10 Seirin jersey that I will probably wear at a North American anime convention Ricky Fajar Adiputra for putting up with my crappy sense of directions while I was lost in Bugis and for taking me to Cash Studio since Ive always wanted to try out an authentic Japanese DAM karaoke system Shi Jie Lum for being patient with me while I was at the Main Stage to attend the Love Live! Special event and giving me three of her Biribiri coscards. I wont be crossplaying as Biribiri for a while so you can keep those two coins since theyre completely sold out on AmiAmi where I pre-ordered them from. Sim Cheng Kai for taking the time to chat with me about anisong despite the fact that I almost jacked your seat since I thought the Japanese dude next to us (Who I added on Twitter) was in my seat. Sora Haruaki for finding me and Ben and sadly both batteries of my DSLR died so I could only get photos her with her prized Root Five signed poster with my cell phone (handphone) camera Tan JJin for being a bro and for booking a hotel room thats close enough to the Suntec for us to crash at and for putting up with me hogging the washroom (toilet to Singaporeans) to put on my cosplays at. Thanks also for hearing me ramble in Cantonese too. Kudos for helping me start a Thank you, AFA! *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap* chant after the I Love Anisong on the last day of AFA followed up by a AFA! AFA! AFA!chant too Wei Zhen Love Kazuya for letting me take multiple photos with and of your μs group minus Erichika. I know I created endless wave after wave of photogs but thats to expected as youre all cosplaying as characters from a very popular series. And last but not least, Id like to say a big thank you to everyone who cooperated with my rusty and heavily accented Mandarin, said hi, gave me their coscard(s), accepted my coscard(s), and allowed to me to take two or more photos of their cosplays during my four days at the venue for AFA 2014 Thank you, SG!
