So...once upon a time in the mid-80s, I went to England to help set up the Artificial Heart Program at The Papworth Hospital (near Cambridge). I met the most charming Irishman who was the OR Director there and yada, yada, yada. I ended up staying an extra week there and some months later, we brought him and the England nurses to Louisville (it was Derby week) so they could observe the patients at our hospital. We had a marvelous time doing all the Derby events including the Derby Party at Jane Elliss house. Of course, one cannot sustain a long distance relationship so time took its toll and we went our separate ways. Sigh................. I know I have lived happily ever after and hope he did the same.
