So recently Ive been checking out estate sales in hopes of finding a cheap, vintage TV to use for retro-gaming. At first it was really weird seeing someones home that was no longer alive and just flipping their their entire lifes physical contents. You learn a lot about these people and the lives they lived. It wasnt until I found this one huge place that was covered in original artwork, had drawers filled with diamond and golden jewelry, countless imported vintage cutlery and plates, hand-made vintage furniture, etc etc. My first thought was obviously this person has expensive taste, and they were able to afford it. Good for them. But then I realized, the quality and quantity of these items, they didnt matter. The furniture looked hardly used, at all, but was over 40 years old. The cutlery looked brand new and was even older. The original artwork reflected simple, lonely landscapes often with only a single subject. I came to the realization that it isnt the things we own that bring us happiness, its the people we share time with that truly matters. No one will care about your car, your house, or your TV when youre gone. They care about you. So Id like to take this moment and say Im truly thankful to have met and grown to know each and every one of you. Youre all awesome and bring such real happiness in my life. Thank you. Youre awesome.
