Tickets for the History Society Annual Dinner will be on sale from TODAY (Friday 24th January) and will be held on Tuesdays 12:30-13:30 and Fridays 13:30-14:30 on the History Department Landing. Included in the ticket cost of £30 (£27 for society members) is a champagne reception in the Victorian Corridor, a three course, silver service meal in the Picture Gallery, a talk from our guest speaker, historian Peter Heather, followed by tea or coffee with mints and a selection of red and white wines. This is the biggest event on our calendar, make sure you dont miss out! Below is the menu for the evening! Starter: Torn buffalo mozzarella with roast butternut squash, sage, rocket, heritage tomatoes and a baby shoot salad. Main: Roasted lamb with a prune and date stuffing, served with redcurrant and port jus and chateau potatoes OR Roasted butternut and chard cannelloni with sautéed wild mushrooms and pea shoots. (v) Dessert: Sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream.
