So shortly after we got out of bed this morning, Kelli had a sudden headache and felt like vomiting. I went to the restroom to get her headache medicine and some antibiotics for a cut she has on her leg. Just as I brought the medicine to her, my stomach seized up into a knot and began cramping worse than I have ever felt in my life. It made me go to the floor and took my breath away, I could hardly talk. Kelli thought I was being silly at first but when she saw it was no joke she asked if we should go to the hospital. I dont like going to the hospital unless I am certain that I cant fix a problem myself so I had Kelli get on WebMd and look up symptoms while I went back to the ground in fetal position. I was thinking evil gas pains from hell, appendicitis, kidney problems, or another random cause I wont list on my wall because explaining it is kind of embarrassing. (Anyone who wants to know can PM me if they are that curious) lol......Anyway,. It was the most intense stomach pain Ive ever experienced and it took my breath away. The less I breathed, the worse it became so I took a position I learned in Aikido, called seiza and began breathing exercises we practice at the beginning of most classes. I was able to shut the world out and for the next five minutes, was able to reduce my pain to a tolerable lvl. I was able to dress myself in case the pain became unbearable again and I had to go to the hospital. I laid down and continued the breathing exercises until I drifted off to sleep. I just woke up and the pain is gone. Today, Aikido helped me with more than protecting myself from criminals on the streets, it helped me bear intense pain and overcome it.
