So since my furlough, Ive been in rest mode...okay, I wore myself slap out because I was creating like a maniac over my nearly 3 weeks off. Now I have the itch to get started back up. I am pulled to starting a daily photography/creativity project again. Whats rolling around in my head is that I start Jan 1st working with analog...analog anything. Film, Hasselblad, Speed Graphic, pinhole, Van Dykes, mixing chemicals to make light sensitive surfaces, adding photography to sculptures or objects. You know how I know this is the right course of action? Because Im so intimidated by all of it that Im having a hard time getting started. Daily practices take the pressure off. So I need a theme. I want something that has meaning. My 2010 365 was of my dogs. My 2011 (3 months worth) was about just shooting anything and that bored the heck out of me. My 2012 365 (6 months completed) was about connection and being human. Now? So this is the question. Nov and Dec are about learning about my cameras, film, light sensitive solution recipes, developing, and making at least one pinhole camera, and finishing my UV light cabinet. This feels great to claim this little inside voice out loud.
