So, some bad news today.... Phenwyck, my orange kitty I have had for 13 years has been loosing weight. a lot of weight in fairly short amount of time.... He is latterly a walking skeleton with fur and skin.......no meat on his bones at all... In December blood work was done... all negative. Between December and September he has lost 3 more pounds.... for a cat, that is a lot of weight.... But he has not lost his appetite... in fact he attacks food as if he has not had food in a week.... Doctor did more blood work in September... again nothing. Just took him for an ultra sound today and it looks like a form of cancer. Our doctor will have to do another type of blood test to confirm. The Doctor at the ultra sound clinic said it is a treatable form and we could have him another 1-3 years..... Great.... my Pal has just had an expiration date put on him..... Not a happy day for us today.... : (
