So, the message notifications keep piling up but Facebook wont let me access them and now Facebook is trying to sell me the truth over the myth, so its time to state it publicly. I will NOT be downloading the new messenger app. Ever. Its not that Im worried about my privacy or my metadata, Im well aware that Im spied on, tracked and sold to the highest bidder but thats just part and parcel of using free networks. My problem with it is that it didnt need to happen and I would rather protest with my feet than bow down for the sake of free SMS. I have Facebook, Twitter, Viber, Instagram, Email, Text and other various applications which I dont use... I dont need another app notifying me every time its accessed. I have enough little squares on a page with numbers in red boxes over their top corner. The line has been drawn.
