So, this happened this afternoon. Dog walk past the public tree well where I guerilla-planted a sunflower three weeks ago. Its empty. What?! Wheres the sunflower? I say out loud. I look around half expecting to see it on the ground. Then I walk over to the nearby trashcan and sure enough, the whole thing is crammed in there, big root ball and all. Who would do that? Lady off to the side waiting for the bus. Someone whos ignorant, thats who. Indeed. Damn. Poor sunflower...it was just getting a bud, too. #upsanddowns #karma Plus---this thought just struck me---thats the second time this year someone pulled what I planted. The last time was in June when someone pulled out and tossed away the hostas I donated to the Broad Street Market. Guess what, though? Im going to keep on planting, HBG. #reapwhatsowed
