So this is a combination from a story on the way to an honor band a month ago, and from today in jazz band. So! About a month ago we were driving to our honor band (me, a trumpet player, and 2 euph players) and the song Jesus Take the Wheel came on. We were listening, then got into a conversation of something like this: ...did this actually happen? Was she driving and then just threw her hands in the air and was like nope! im done! Take the wheel, Jesus! ...what if Jesus like...actually took the steering wheel? Then shed be like no, thats not what I meant Jesus!! Give me the wheel back! ...or what if Jesus took like one of the tire wheels? Then shed be like NOT THAT WHEEL, JESUS! WRONG WHEEL! ...maybe she had like a wheel of cheese in the back, and it was getting old and gross and she just was like ugh, Jesus, just take the wheel already, I dont want this wheel! Wait, not the steering wheel, Jesus, I meant the cheese wheel!!! And we kept coming up with awesome things like that and it was seriously the funniest conversation of my life. And then in jazz band today, our tenor switched to bari sax and our director said oh, but in this chart you have a tenor solo. Do you want to play tenor or do you want to just give up the solo? and she said nope yup baris good, I dont want the tenor solo. I dont want it. Take it. Somebody take it. Somebody take the solo. and one of the jazz band trumpets (euph in the car) sang JESUS TAKE THE SOLO! TAKE IT FROM MY HANDS and it was the funniest thing everrr. And then I said No, not that solo, Jesus!! Wrong solo!!!! haha anyways. Next time you hear that song(;
