So, this is essentially a Gloria Upson, bubbles on the brain story, sort of a Boy, Did I Ever Use A Wrong Fork! story. Quick version, if youve got someplace else to be? Quick version: Ive been marinating myself with French Fabreeze for over a year. The fuller deconstruction here: I breezed into this PTown fine furnishings shop on Sunday -- and babies, Im extra breezy out here -- I grabbed a bottle from the same spot as last July, and I let the French shopkeeper know that, try as I may (Macys fragrance, online, a years worth of breezed into shops), I couldnt find THIS cologne, and Im so grateful, and arent they so good and so exclusive because, Lady, I have LOOKED! And she said, evenly, Oh... you WOULDNT find it at Macys, and why dont you buy two bottles then? And I said, Dont push, hon -- ha ha ha -- Mind if I give myself a little spritz from that sample bottle on my way out? And she says, Oh, do, please -- ha ha ha -- You know, I actually had one customer who was using this spray as COLOGNE?! And then, I said, after a moment, (fake) REAL-ly?! Ah HA ha ha ha ha! Back on the street, my friend Jeff helped me translate room deodorizer from the labels French -- parfum dinterieur. So... that was that humbling experience. What they say about the over-scented smelling like a particular French workplace...
