So this is how my day started... 0645 hours. Running late getting to work. Raining. Pulled out to pass a truck as I came off the feeder from 95 on to 295, hit 5th gear, heard a BANG and everything went black... Hit the brakes. Held on to the wheel. Dumped the clutch. Skip shifted down to 3rd. Quick mirror check. Lotsa brakes. Aimed for where the shoulder should be. Hood latch let go. Secondary must not have caught when I closed the hood yesterday. Hood is bent and dented, but salvageable. Windshield is toast; all spidered. Thank God for laminated glass. Used a piece of wood for leverage to bend hood so it would latch and limped on to work. #suxors
