SSS arrest APC members with over 200 INEC PVCs in Ilorin =============== The men of the Department of State Service (DSS) today arrested two members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Alhaja Toyin Kareem and Alhaja Muslimah Kadir, both of Ogbondoroko, Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State. Muslimah Kadir is said to be the younger sister of a serving Special Assistant (SA) to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed on Transportation, Alhaji Lamidi E-kwara learnt very reliably that the suspects were caught red-handed by vigilant PDP members, when the duo made to do mass photocopies of over 200 Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) issued by INEC to voters recently. They were apprehended at a business centre, Al-Jihad Computer Institute, in Omoda, Ilorin West Local Government Area, where they were photocopying the cards. The women, who confessed to be staunched APC members from Asa LGA, apologized for their conduct and offered to forgo the cards if the SSS would release them. A source at the scene informed e-kwara that Alhaja Toyin was initially feigning to be a PDP member until the leaders of the party from Asa LGA arrived the scene and debunked her claim of being a PDP member. Already, the operatives of the SS have wisked the suspects to their office along Ahmadu Bello Way, Ilorin and they are now being interrogated. However, in a telephone interview with e-kwara, the Chairman of the PDP in Kwara State, Chief Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, said that the arrest of the APC women with the cards has ‘concretely’ confirmed his party’s alarm that the APC has perfected moves to rig the forthcoming election. He appealed to INEC to reign in on the APC leadership in Kwara state to desist from this ‘devilish’ conduct, as according to him, PDP members too would not fold their hands and look by while the situation degenerates.
