So this year I turned 40 and I decided to do a wee challenge called #40isjustanumber. I wanted to say a MASSIVE thank-you to each and every person who very kindly donated to my chosen charities MacMillan Cancer Support and Yorkhill Childrens Charity. I have raised £1422.50 in total so both charities will get the benefit of this money and it will hopefully go some way towards helping them support those who need it most. I wanted to do as many events, challenges, races and 2 wheeled adventures as I could and although didnt tick off every one of them, I managed most! The highlight for me was my 250 mile in 1 day (non stop) ride to Alnwick and back and also my solo win in the 24hr Cycle The World challenge up at Knockhill. The British MTB Champs in Selkirk was a particularly tough day, as was the Whinlatter Challenge down in the Lake District. Really enjoyed the TTs and especially the Fife 50 miler and the Cairngorm Classic Sportive with the lads was a great little 100 miler! Although my charity page closes in 8 days.........there may be 2 last wee challenges that Im working on...........Inverness to Glasgow in a day........and another little 24hr challenge on Watt Bikes thats a team event doing the equivalent of John O Groats to Lands End? Thanks everyone again for your donations and heres to 2015 and more of the same......only BIGGER, BETTER, LONGER, MORE CHALLENGING AND FASTER!! ;-) uk.virginmoneygiving/AndyDobinson
