So to expand on our audio phenom tonight, let me list some of the really weird things that have happened at our building. 1) Billy used to play drums upstairs in the building, and on several occasions a tape recorder he used to record what he was doing would fly off the bench and across the room. 2) Jimmy hated to go upstairs in the building because he would hear footsteps and closing doors when he knew he was the only one up there. The faucet in the mens room turned on by itself one time when he was up there. 3) When entering the building on the weekend or at night through the side door, I would occasionally hear music coming from upstairs. It got louder as I approached the door at the top of the stairs. When I opened the door, the music would stop. Several years later, Billy related the same thing. We compared notes. I asked him what music he heard. He stated exactly what I heard. 1920s flapper style music. 4) On one occasion, I caught a glimpse of something high on the hallway wall, about 10 feet off the ground attached to the wall. It was for a brief second, a White Gargoyle. 5) One night I was finishing up in my private office and heard tapping on the desktop just next to my left elbow. It was that sort of impatient tapping someone who was waiting to have you finish what you were doing would make. There was no one there. 6) Another night I heard tapping on the glass window of my private office, I looked and nothing was there. I then opened the back door and again nothing in sight. I went back to my office and it happened again. I called for Jimmy to come out and shine his headlights down the side of the building to see if he saw anything. Nothing. 7) One day I caught a glimpse of an older man wearing a knit shirt standing near our front counter. The office was closed and I was the only one there. 8) Another day, Patti and I were standing in the business office looking out to the waiting room and we noticed smoke in the air, which was moving together, not drifting apart. It formed a five foot high area of smoke. We took a picture and sitting in a chair past the smoke was the faint image of a person. 9) When Jimmy came home from college one Spring, we put alot of his dorm stuff in the back room of the office. After all was in, I had to got through the office and turn out the lights and lock up. Once I closed the back door and headed into the office, I heard a womans voice come from upstairs in the office Eddie, Eddie is that you? When we moved into the building fourteen years ago, there had been a box of gray t shirts with Eddie embroidered on them. 10) Today, I caught a glimpse of a forty ish year old male peaking out past the wall by our panorex x ray looking up to the front desk area where I was standing. He did it twice. First time caught me off guard, second time it was enough for me to see he was wearing a beige shirt. 11) Tonight as we were finishing up and getting ready to leave, we heard Patti, Patti, Patti in a womens voice. There was urgency to the voice and we immediately rushed into the front hall where we had heard the voice coming from. There was no one there, there were no footprints in the snow by the windows, our tenants were long gone. The voice sounded a lot like our music teachers voice, a woman in her 60s. So there you have it!!
