So today DC police murdered an unarmed woman because she reportedly attempted to ram security barriers. Now people are applauding the cops as heros. Sorry I find the lack of regard for her life disturbing according to over a dozen reports so far she was unarmed and still in her vehicle therefore no threat to the people in the buildings she was "attacking". The barriers are likely similar to the ones we use on our installation and those can stop an 18000LB truck going over 30 MPH before they are breached, so this woman had no chance to actually get onto the grounds. To sum it up I see no reason the police had the right to fire at the woman, because property damage is not a sufficent reason for the use of deadly force in any class I have ever taken either military or civilian.
