So, tonight here in District four, Gwinnett county, I walk my small dog outside for his usual evening stroll. Not five feet outside my door, a Pit Pull terrier type of dog (it was dark) attacks both of us very suddenly. I normally encounter cats or rabbits at this time of time. I back the aggressor OUT with my shouts, throw the Reggie (Chiwawwa) back into the house and face the dog attacking. I try and after several attempts I get to the dog right off of my property. I was then I call 911. I report an aggressive dog. 911 advises that they would send help via animal control. As a retreated back to my front door. When I did so, the dog would growl and advance. The on duty animal control officer for this county called me four times during this encounter. When I called him back after I got a somewhat safe distance, he said he would not come out. I kept telling him he was aggressive, he kept saying too bad and I should not have even gone outside in the first place. Really? That sounds like the answer of a lazy on duty animal control officer. Cops eventually showed up and said they couldnt do anything without animal control. I think I need to move to a community that wouldnt mind if I shot a animal when they threaten my family. Lets see how they respond.
