So tonight is the 1 yr anniversary of our house fire and the loss of all of our material possessions. We saved a few things and then accumulated more after the fact from all of our lovely friends/family. At this exact time of night one year ago I was standing out in the snow watching the biggest bonfire Ive ever seen and getting ready to head over to our dear friend Stephanie Bell- McCormicks house. Thats when our adventure began. A lot has happened in a year but most importantly we learned the value of friendship and love and how we can better love others in the midst of trial. I went right back to work at the hospital afterwards (still smelling smoke) just to keep my mind on what the needs of others were. They were much worse off than I! But all that being said, this is just a note to say thank you. Truly. From the bottom of my heart...thank you to all who gave so generously, found us clothing, brought us food, let us share your homes, watched my children, prayed for us, lit candles for us, wanted to give but couldnt, to those who wished us well...you are all remembered. And you are all so dearly loved.
