So very thankful for the lady who stood with me thirty-three years ago today and repeated vows and has more than ful-filled them throughout all that time. I dont suppose she did it on purpose, but thirty-three years with her have surely passed with lightning speed. I love her with every breath and every heart-beat. I pray she can always know it. I met a retired minister who is a nursing home resident. He told me he and his wife have been married sixty-six years. I thought, Wow! Twice as long as Betty and me. Then I thought, Not really all that long after all. I dont expect to live long enough for Betty and me to see our sixty-sixth, but I cant help but believe the love in my new older friends heart for his bride is as fresh as mine is for my own. Thirty-three years with this lady have passed as a moment. I am and have been greatly blessed.
