So we saw a Santa clause the other day. It seemed so weird that Santa greeted Emilia with, hello little girl, tell me what you want for Christmas. There is no other situation where you would greet someone that way. Em was a bit taken aback and slowly got closer and sat on the opposite end of the bench near Santa. After Santa and his elf asked a few more times she finally said, a rainbow ring. (A project that weve been working on for her). Then Santa asked for more things that she wanted. She thought for awhile and said, maybe something for some other people. My goodness I was so proud of her! Im so glad we are doing to no media thing. Even turning on the radio I am blown away by the adds, the encouragement to consume, the excessive buying, the need for certain brands, new this and that, etc. It feels so good not to be caught up in that and Im so glad she is not influenced by it.
