So we went to the park with all our bikes, then biked along the bike trail to Fire Lake. Learned there are some leeches if you stand around in the water looking for fish to swim by (we were on the water overflow side- so not the actual lake, just the little area on the other side of the road). Saw a mama duck and some babies. Jumping fish. Thomas fell in the water, so we stripped him down to his underwear so his clothes could dry before biking back. Joyce stepped on something that cut her foot. Had been prompted to bring the mini-first aid kit (the one you made me long ago Bethany Galbraith DeKay), so could take care of it right away. Got set to head back. Discovered I needed to go over biking etiquette of passing and staying on the left with Thomas. He swerved suddenly in front of Rachel and both crashed. Used the first aid kit again. Back to the park, and Joyce had fallen asleep in the bike trailer. Figured I could ride around a bit longer and let her sleep with the wind cooling her down. So we reviewed the bike etiquette. Then went to the bank, and back to the park. Packed all the bikes up while kids played on playground. Sat in car for a few minutes, remembered I was supposed to make dinner for a new mommy and her family. Saw a friend for a few minutes and said hi. Called kids over, came home and made dinner. Nothing fancy, but if you add veggies and cut up sausage and hot dogs to mac and cheese, my kids enjoy it. Finished cooking it, took dinner to the new mommy. Left kids at home with Keith babysitting. He does such a good job and I appreciate how responsible he is. I had a meeting to go to and lasted much longer than planned. Home and kids all in bed. Caught up. Now to head to bed. But will be missing Tyson Bundy, who went back to the Slope early this morning. Good night all!
