So weve seen several doctors this morning. Thats a blessing~one of the doctors mentioned that its not necassarily a alergic reaction what happened to him w/ the vanclomysin w/ turning red/itchy etc. She said its called Red Man Syndrome and happens a lot and is a reaction, but now that they are doing it slower w/ benedryl first~it seems so far to be helping. The respriotory tech guy (very nice) said that Nathan sounds to him like a croup type cough, which is what I thought. ~Though hes a bit old to have ~but he said that infront of the supervising nurse for the floor and then once he said that she said he sounds like a seal (which is exactly what I had felt when I first called yesterday worried about the cough getting worse!)I know thats probably seeming crazy but its usually like a miracle to hear the healthcare person completely validate what you are thinking/feeling so I was glad I did bring him here after all. He is so drained though, and he had a acident (pee) this morning, and hed done that on Tuesday morning too. I told the doctor that I was a little concerend even about that but I could kind of understand the one this morning, because he wasnt in the room till 11 something and they were plugging him into everything finishing up stuff just after midnight. hed gone to the bathroom once, but for how much fluid hed gotten I didnt think it was enough~plus it was after 1 when he had the reaction to the vanclomysin and was crying etc...then 6am the nurse woke me to tell me she had to change his bed, had to turn on the light etc. I still am not sure what to do thought about it. I am glad he is sleeping well-deep etc, his heartrate goes down stays around 50-60 most of the time~but he flips all over still. At least his oxygen is good.~ xoxo Nathan brought his Spiderman mask...so Ill try to get a pic for you all.~ sweet buddy.
