So what exactly is the living wage in Penticton? My wife and I are very fortunate to have good paying jobs. Yet when the unexpected pops up its a struggle for awhile to get back afloat. I know there are young families here seriously struggling. How do we eliminate the sunshine tax and keep these families here and allow them to prosper? It seems all the lakehouses are owned by Albertans and the affordable houses are owned by Snowbirds. Doesnt leave much for us regular people when were well aware if we move 1000km north east housing is affordable to buy and at least 33% better wages.
