So when I go on the road tomorrow in my Cally, people will just see a black car with big alloys and not the effort, strain and teamwork that went into getting it on the road. Yes, the body is a state and the rear bumper has melted because of the exhaust but thats ok. Ive had more fun fixing, tinkering and hanging out with mates over this car than Id have had spending £280 on a weekend at Alton Towers, and a roller coaster doesnt have heated leather seats! Ive learned how to change gaskets, what a mental exhaust sounds like, how much I hate Bowden clips, how to jack a car up in a precarious manner and that even a rusting old Vauxhall from the 90s has enough charm and good looks to gain appreciation from the most determined Ford fans. Ive wanted one of these cars for about a decade, and Ive managed to make one of my dreams come true. Let this not go unsaid, you dont need loads of money to have a good time. Good friends and something you all love is more than enough. Now keep your ears open, because in about 12 hours time, itll be on the road with me at the wheel!
