So when I look up political quotes from artists I love, they are often minutiae... silly rants about things and people who no longer matter at all. Politics are a means (influence) to an end (policy), and the progress is often so short and shortsighted. I tend not to express myself in public too loudly especially when it comes to the angry baseball team animosity between parties... not because I dont get passionate, but because when I look back at some of the stuff... it seems a bit silly and often the references have become obscure. I post anonymously... and look back and laugh. Who is that guy? - But you know, there is something that hasnt changed. I have been talking about this topic for 20 years or more. When I talk about selling music I am really talking about this topic. When I talk about our climate or our environment, I am talking about this. When I am talking about public services, health care, job training, education or war and peace... I find I am really talking about this topic. Some Canadians made the best documentary about this topic... I watched it again after 10 years - and we still need to make progress on this. Will future generations look at this and wonder why we allowed it for so long? Will they have solved it? Is it up to us? As an artist who has watched his nation reject artists completely... as I watch artists of every kind (other than some writers) go broke, I think we have to keep talking about this important subject. The largest institution in human history. _ https://youtube/watch?v=s6zQO7JytzQ
