TDCS and nanotechnology are not only extremely fascinating and exciting, but I think are going to be two of the very biggest, most important accomplishments of humanity during this millennium. TDCS allows for more rapid learning and better retention, and nanotechnology could essentially end disease, along with many other things. Imagine hospitals or organizations like red cross setting up infection centers where you can come in and idk, get a shot or drink a fruit smoothie or something, with specifically designed germs. See, most people think of tiny robots, but much of the nanotechnology field is like bacteria or viruses as in organic life designed by humans. So you could infect yourself with germs that kill cancer, or clear your arteries, maybe even one day clean your DNA. People age because the ends of their DNA start to break down after duplicating too many times and the replacement cells young bodies make flawlessly start to... well, become flawed. We could make synthetic viruses that put new telomeres (the ends of DNA that keeps you young) back into our genetic code, or we could stop our bodies from making telomerase (chemical that breaks down telomeres) in the first place and bam, immortality. Now, Im not entirely sure just how scientifically plausible it is, but well never know unless we try. Our society needs to stop getting sidetracked with stupid shit like war and completely fixable poverty and hunger, so we can focus on all the exciting new possibilities that are so close we can smell it.
