So why did my hair turn blue? Because I went to a different salon and a Master Colorist who assured me they could add gray highlights to my hair, all so I could stop using hair color which burns my scalp, and transition into my natural grey hair. I was there in the chair for 5 hours. When the final step was done she dried my hair and I had no artful highlights of silver in my brown hair- ALL of my hair was a deep violet blue! (Think Katy Perry) I almost passed out. So the stylist rushed me back to the sinks, dumped something on my hair to remove the blue- that burned my scalp by the way, then as we were about an hour past closing time she dried my hair- which is now a funky brown with uneven pale highlights, told me to come back on Monday and theyd do the whole thing over again. Shocked and horrified I paid the bill- which was STAGGERING and went home. Now I have straw like hair- and a burnt and painful scalp. After contacting my regular stylist who was sweet and sympathetic, I will go and purchase a deep conditioning treatment today to do at home and then on Tuesday go see my original stylist for a Moroccan oil treatment. I will be at that other nightmare Salon at opening Monday morning demanding a full refund. In the meantime, Im going to condition the hell out of my hair. Im going to have to live with this disaster for a long time. Ive been warned recoloring it now will likely make my hair break off. Carey OBriens Color Salon-- you Suck!
